Loach Paling...

I went away over the weekend and as I was getting my make up fish fix this afternoon, something became clear to me. I have Clowns, Dojo's, Yoyo, Kuhlis and Golden Dojos. In the trio of clowns, the biggest fish is almost always paler than the other. In the pair of Yoyos it is the bigger, more agressive fish who is always pale. I am becoming convinced that the color is perhaps like an indication of anger or agitations, as the flush in a human is an indication of anger or upset. Am I way off the mark? Has anyone else noticed this pattern? Thanks, Jayne
