If Cosby gouramis are not a good idea how can you reccomend blue or gold ones? They're the SAME species, trichogaster trichopterus, commonly sold as Cosby, blue, or 3-spot gouramis. And the gold is (in the words of Baensch Vol 1 p658) a pseudo-albino form of the same species again!!

Also, according to my new book, dario grow a lot bigger than lohachata. I'm not sure how valid that info is though as they list lohachata as growing to 6cm where in fact we all have seen specimens of 4"+. For the record, they reckon dario grow to 14cm.
