What size pleco have you had? I'm convinced the plecos need food beyond what might be growing in the tank. (They won't even touch some kinds of algae.) I regularly add algae disks which the khulies, a Gasteromyzon type (Borneo sucker), clowns, and another type botia really love. When Mr. Pleco, sir, decides it's his turn, he takes over. (At 8" this hypostomus plecostomus is clearly our largest fish.)
