Not that this is going to be any help... I'm just curious if all the finnage in the clowns is the same coloration? Also not fimilar with the Japanese algae eating shrimp. Do you have a scientific name? Just wondering if "algae eating" is all they do;)

The mark you describe sounds very fimilar. Much like those nice little horseshoe marks in the sword plants:)
