Interesting! Could you please describe the tank more? Size, number of the fish, size of the tank, hideouts. In Germany the Red Tail Shark is widely available and usually bought by beginners. However the more advanced aquarists are more or less convinced that it is not a fish for the community tank at all. I`ve just read a post on a freshwater board in Germany where somebody mentioned that he was unable to keep two RTS in a tank with more than 1000l. At least you seem to be successful in keeping one of them in a sort of "aggressive community" tank.

BTW to Dave concerning the Guppy: TMK it has never been put back to its old genus Lebistes again once it was Poecilia. So I think its still Poecilia. But I must admit that I`m not too concerned about livebearers :).
