Is my clown OK?

I have a new addition (four days) to the tank -- a clown which was the last one at the store; I felt kinda sorry for it hidden away in there alone. My observations:
> It has been very pale -- OK, clowns DO that, it's their thing.
> It just plops on a side and stays that way for a while -- So? It's a clown; but it just doesn't look that happy :(
> It will do all kinds of loops and flips when it first takes off swimming, but does successfully reach its destination and sometimes will swim with the other clowns. The loopy (please don't say its whirling!) swimming is the one that worries me. At first, I thought it was part of the fish's personality. Now I'm concerned that it might be a sign of illness. Thoughts please?
