One click is "I'm hungry". Two clicks is "I need a dity change" (or water in this case). And three or more means "There is gowing to be a brawl" (those is fighing words). :) For what it is worth most accounts seem to revolve around feeding or sparring. A device for communicating displeasure with same or similar species perhaps. Then again, sometimes for no aparent reason "click ..click click". Only thing I can tell for sure is that the modesta (not the largest) are the loudest and most vocal of the botia I have. Did anything further come out of the hydrophone experiment?
