Sorry about your loach. I got a dojo several months ago, and two days later he had a red mucous-kind of stuff on him. I took him back to the fish store, and I think he died the next day. But, one of my other dojos got the same thing the next day, and died. I treated the tank wiht a fungacidal/bacterocidal agent. No other fish have died in this (or any other) manner. Good luck
