My tank water is 78 degrees with a pH of 7.0. I always monitor the pH and the temperature stays at 78 constantly, with the exception of extremely hot days in the summer. So far it's been 5 days since I bought him and 4 days since he died, and everybody else is still healthy with no signs of any streaks or anything. I did not medicate my tank yet. I only like to medicate if it is neccasary, but in this case I wasn't sure if this Loach had something that was highly contagious and could wipe out the entire population of my tank. I thought I may need to add medicine as a precautionary measure. I was at the same pet store on Saturday and every Loach in that tank was still alive and looking and acting fine. I guess I just got the bad one of the batch. I would like to try another one but I'm not too sure.
