Strange white spots on Clowns (Disease?)

Hi,

I have had 2 clown loaches for about a year. I have had occasional problems with ick, but nothing too serious. Recently, I noticed that there are ick or velvet-like growths on the fish, but this is accompanied by larger whitish splotches. I've never seen anything like this before.

Is anyone familiar with these sypmptoms? If so, please advise as to the cause and treatment.
