Clown loaches

These are my observations for my loaches: They will also like to hide in tunnels. Sometimes two in each tunnel. They accept live foods such as worms and dried and flaked foods. They also like to eat freshwater shrimp. The two clown loaches which I am observing are 8 in. in length. The have acted very stramgely lately and have been swimming around at the top. It is not amonia though. Can anyone tell me what this might be? Thanks
