yo-yo loaches---how tolerant of acidic waters are they??

I'm contemplating a move for my yoyos--I don't want to get rid of them, but I might end up doing that if I can't find a tank for them to live in......I promised my husband that I'd break down 4 tanks if I could get a 38 tall for discus........do yoyos(they're a very friendly loach) do ok with discus temperament wise?? How about ph?? I know I'd have to slowly acclimate them to the new ph........

....right now they are living happily in the same water as my Malawis and Tangs...but I don't think I want them in with shelldwellers........

hmmmmmmm...any help would be much appreciated!!
