Really Blue Blue Botia's

My friend just bought two blue Botia's from Wal-Mart yesterday. When I saw them I couldn't believe it, these guys are so blue they are almost neon. All the Blue Botia's I see and the one I have are sort of light blue, nothing that dramatic. Has anyone ever seen a Botia that blue?? Could they be dyed or do they really look like that and I just got a poorly colored specimin? I would really appreciate any input because I'm thinking of getting one but if they're dyed I'm not going to bother. Thank you! : )
