Do khulis eat fish eggs?

I was wondering if khuli loaches eat fish eggs? I am trying to breed apisto's, which are too young yet to breed, and am using khulis as a scavanger fish. I have had luck in the past using them with kribs but I think the kribs are more aggressive than these apistos. So I am just wondering if the khulies pose any threat?

second question: any tips on how to catch a khuli in a planted tank or should one just forget about it.
