Rubing against rocks sounds like ich. I have found that a salt dip (2.5 Tablespoons to a gallon) works wonders. I just bought three clown loaches and dipped them before adding them to my tank, just in case. I am not that familiar with these loaches, but all other fish have tolerated this well, including plecos, black ghost knife,......and so far the clowns are doing well too, but they are slim. Hope to fatten them up with sinking pellets (in dark), and there are some snails in the tank too. Happy fish keeping!
