shy clown loaches!

All right, guys, stop kidding around! I got a wonderful deal on Clown Loaches. I bought 5 since all the advise says you need a school. I re-arranged my tank so that there were some nice hiding places for these retiring creatures. I did all the required time in the bag, adjusting the water etc. Got my little beauties out of the bag, expecting them to go and hide. One of them swam up to my betta, Bob, (who is a gentleman among bettas never hassling the the other fish in the tank,) and bit him on the lip. Poor Bob is using one of the hiding places and the retiring creatures are all over the place. One of them also hassled a skunk cory which is less than half their size.
