Clown loach with ick

I have a clown loach that has ick and I am currently treating it with Maracide & Maracyn Two by Mardel. I have read that since clown loaches are scaleless you should use half dose. I just start the treatment today and the question I have is--the directions for Maracide say to continue use for 5 days, but if I'm using half doses should I treat for longer than 5 days or is the 5 days sufficient? Also, should I be doing half doses with the Maracyn Two (I did today)? If so, should I just treat for the 5 days per instructions or should I treat for longer?
