Cloudy Water

I'm having a heck of a time with cloudy water in my 55g. Water changes don't help, and the aquarium has been set up long enough that it shouldn't be a problem. I have added more filtration, even though I don't think I needed it, and have added an air curtain. The water tests fine. The lfs suggested a product called Crystal Clear, but I don't know what chemicals it contains. It doesn't say on the bottle. Does anybody know anything about this product, or have any other suggestions? I'm baffled. Thanks for your help!
