looking for more loaches--dwarf

I am going to try to find some dwarf loaches to add to the aquarium. I have only one Botia striata and the lfs never did get another for me. Question: will dwarfs do okay in medium-hard water (sorry I dont know the number) and pH 7? I'm talking about the (spelling???) B. sidmunski thanks for any input. amber
