Emily, You did a good thing in removing the Texas Cichlids (C. cyanoguttatus?), since they are quite aggressive and can reach up to 30 cm, so they would have grown out of Your tank anyway. Not good tankmates for peaceful dojos. If the loaches are healthy otherwise the fins will be regenerated, so donīt worry. If you want to be very cautious, you can keep a fungicide at hand, but probably its not necessary. Since dojos are not tropical fish, they prefer cooler temperatures (around 20°C). pH-values are not critical as long you avoid the extremes. Hans
