Hey Don, Sounds like a Garra to me, the Russian algae eatter. Check into the pics at http://www.aquatic-gardeners.org/saephotos.html

Seems there area few different gara sp, and some of them can look a little like a false SAE. I beleive they are also mentioned in Liisa Sarakontu's SAE articles( http://www.thekrib.com/Fish/Algae-Eaters/ )And look one of the above pictures has a Loach in it too:)
