Itchy Loaches

Over the holiday weekend, all heck broke out in my tank. First, my largest c. loach (his name is Pwog) started scratching. Now, my loaches will from time to time glance on the bottom or on a rock, but it's few and far between. They seem to have always done it so I've always just chalked it up to an itch, since I won't see them do it again. But Pwog started and continued. Soooo...I check my handy disease guide and came up with gill flukes. Why gill flukes? He had no signs of a skin-born infection (ick, cloudy skin, grey patches, etc etc). Another symptom was swimming erraticly, but Pwog is just a neurotic loach and it's hard to tell what's normal and what's not...Into the hospital tank he goes with some parasite guard...half dose. Well this flips him out. Poor sad, bugger! Then more scratching by more loaches in t
