Dot on a Clown loach?

Hello everyone out there! I have a question about one of my juvenile Botia Macracubthus. Today I went to my LFS to check out if the got any new fish. They had 4 species of loaches (Khuli, Skunk, Horsefaced and Clown loaches). I really liked the Horsefaced loaches. So, I was observing them for any sign of disease, when I saw a strange markings on one of the clown loaches. (The clowns and horsefaced loaches were in the same tank.) This little Botia Macracunthus had half a stripe on one side of it, and on the other side there was just a large black dot. (Of course I bought it) My question is will the black dot stay on the clown loach forever or will transform into a stripe? It looks very neat with the black dot on it.
