tank setup recommendations!

hello LL's! I'm getting ready to stock my tank again. I would like to hear from you all as to what to start out a 45 gallon tank with. I want to have at least 6 clowns and maybe some other fish to keep them company. I've been reading a lot on the web and have seen water temp recommendations from a low of 72 to a high of 84. What would be an ideal temp range? PH would be a help too.
I'm guessing around 80 degrees and ph 6.0-7.0.

Please help....... I would like to hear from LL's about this. I've been out of the tank bit for awhile and my return was a horrible massacre. No more loach killings if I can help it. I'm trying to take my time and get my facts straight
before I get some more fish.
