new clowns in hiding

About two days ago they had a clown loach sale at my lfs, $4.99 a piece, so I bought three new clowns to make an even school of my then current 2. I got two big ones (about 2-2 1/2 inches) and a small one (about an inch or so). Well I got them home and the smaller one immediatly schooled up with my other clowns which are also about an inch long. However, the two larger ones started swimming franticly around the aquarium, up and down the glass, apperantly trying to find a way out. Now the only time they come out of the caves is at night if I have a reading light on. What can I do? I don't have a hospital tank because of lack of resources (mainly money) so if I were to treat them with anything I would treat the entire tank ( I don't know how useful that last sentence was but I thought I might add it).
