Okay, the Brits that post to this page are really going to GROAN over this one... BUT... I purchased the SPICE girls (4 clowns) from the same-store-same-time-same-bat-channel... Ginger had a very rough start... The guy (Manager of the dept.) got her stuck in the net... jammed her out of the net and I stood there stunned from the whole nasty incident... needless to say he had the rest of the Spice girls in the bag before I could protest... and being greedy (the price was nice)... I took my girlz home... well, Ginger swam funny... and did little but prop herself up on the side of the tank... I thought she was a goner when all she did was lay flat on the gravel... Sporty (the largest at 2 inches), Baby (at 1 1/2 inches), Posh (somewhere between 2 and 11/2 inches) all ate like pigs and "guarded" Ginger (who was about 1 1/2 inch)... Ginger's health went in a downward spiral... She barely ate and developed ICK.. So, I treated the tank with Maracide (full strenght - did not know half strenght was recommended by LOL folks)... Found LOL asked questions... worried over her... THEN STARTED FEEDING FROZEN BLOOD WORMS & BRINE SHRIMP DAILY... and a little loach miracle happened... Ginger struggled to get up and eat... and eat.. and eat... her swimming skills improved and she started "runnin'" with the girlz... TODAY... 7 or so months later... she is still the smallest at 2.5 inches... Baby the smaller of the four is now the BIGGEST at 3-3.5 inches... All of the girls grew... in both lenght and girth... and currently are awaiting... with baited breath... to move to their new 75 gallon home...
THE END Moral of the story... if there is one... FROZEN FOOD
