Here is the idea: 10 gallon community-style tank, one male betta, possibly a small (6?) school of white cloud mountain minnows, and, it has been recommended, some sort of loach. I have only kept clowns, and was under the impression all loaches needed more space than a ten gallon could provide? Additionally, I plan to maintain the temp at 80-81F. While I have heard from some that they keep kuhli loaches at that temp, on their article here, it says they shouldn't be kept at that temp for more than a short period of time. If I decide on getting kuhli loaches, along with the betta, would that max out my occupancy? I am a fan of understocking. How many should I get, or are they just inappropriate for this size and style tank? Any other suggestions? I must note, I have
