Siamese Flying Fox (It's loach related!)

Does anyone know if this fish would be compatable in my mostly loach tank? What I'm most concerned about is the temp. and the salt. The information I've found says 72-79, but I can't find anything about the salt. I was under the impression that most tropical fish would be fine with a small amount of salt, but a recent post, stating that you shouldn't use salt with corys, has me wondering. I have a SFF that is almost 4 inches long, and is really too big for the 10 gallon tank he's in. But I don't know how he will do in my big tank with 80 and 1Tb of salt per 5 gals. Any thoughts?
