BB can I ask you about Cichlids?

Hi, I have been lurking in here for awhile and I see you know a lot about cichlids. How many or can I, put Lab's and other small Malawi/Mbuna cichlids in a 20 gallon (us tall) tank? What special tricks are there to know, do they all need caves, does the more the merrier make a calmer tank? How aged should the tank be (I haven't yet set it up). What's the prefered filtration for them?

I know its a lot of questions, sorry. I would greatly appreciate any information you could pass on. Thanks Kk
