Help! I just bought six kuhli loaches today. First time with any loaches actually. I have a thirty gallon tank with two hang on back power filters. I had read that undergravel filters were not a good idea because they have been known to burrow into the plate. So I thought I was safe with the type of filters i have. But, we couldn't find one of the loaches, so we started to look everywhere we could think of. It was IN the filter!!! he must have gone in through the intake tube. How can I avoid this. It was still alive (sigh of relief) but that would stress me out if it happened often. Does anyone have any advice?
