Hi As far as I know the dojos don`t eat snails themselves but their eggs. So could at least stop them from spreading further. One idea I have in mind for a fish who needs cold water, eats snails and gets big enough to get along with your bullhead is a fish with the Latin name Tinca tinca. It`s a native European fish (in German called "Schleie") and it looks like a carp (close related) with smaller scales and a very beautiful green metallic on its sides. It might well be that it is introduced in the US together with the carp, so it might be possible to get it there. In Germany it`s sometimes sold as a pond fish.
