please help! injured kuhli

Help! I've had kuhli loaches (five of them now) in a ten gallon tank for several weeks with no apparent problems. The only recent change is that i added 5 neon tetras last night. The kuhlis and the neons are the only fish in the tank. I was just looking at the tank and one of my kuhli's is swimming erratically and upside down. He has a wound on his belly just in front of his anal fin that is maybe a little more than a 1/2 centimeter. It looks open. I can't imagine how this could have happened!!! I don't think the neons could inflict such damage? has anyone heard of neons injuring other fish like this????

1) i don't know of any way to treat open wounds in fish. i've never had anything like this. Is this fish best being put out of misery, or best being treated in some wa
