B-12, pregnancy & old people

Nancy, I did a little digging around and found out that in humans Vitamin B-12 deficiency has been linked with Alzheimer's and increasing the human body's effency in absorbing folic acid. B-12 is also used in the production of Adenosylcobalamin which is a coenzyme which metabolizes branched-chain amino acids, cholesterol, methionine, and odd-chain fatty acids which is why is it sometime administered to heart attack patients and tken by people worried about their health. Assuming fish have basically a similar metabolism to humans (aside from breathing water!) I would guess that unless your clowns are old and forgetful, fat or pregnant b-12 may not be much use to them, but it certainly won't hurt.
