Hello

Table salt (NaCl) will not change the water's pH, GH, or KH (KH=alkalinity, short for carbonate hardness)! Please pass this on to your LFS fellow! The store may be giving out good advice, but the reasons are simply not part of reality. Sorry, you hit a button!
