Picking clowns

I've decided its time to add some more clown to my tank, as I only have 2 right now. I'm curious if there are any tricks to picking "good" clowns. Petsmart is about the only place in town that has any. In one tank they have quite a few. A few of the larger ones have more grey fins and a more translucent skin. IIs this normal? They have been there about a week, so its time they got a home .
