Other fish with loaches? (neons?)

I'm thinking its time to get a few more fish for the tank. Me GF tells me that neons would look nice. Do these go okay with clown loaches? I'm curious because my clowns seem to think small fish are loach sushi... I think the neons would be okay because of their size, but I know clowns can be determained as well . What fish have you had/not had luck with?
