Thanks to both of you for your advice. I don't think anything else in the tank is bothering them. The only territorial fish I have are my angel, (still quite small) and 2 cats. The each live on opposite sides of the tank, but one "schools" with the loaches, that is they all share the same dark corner! I added another loach (now 3) and it has definitely made a difference so I will add probably anther 2-3 to increase the size of the school to try to give them a more social environment. I will keep the forum posted!
