Scogg I would have to agree with what was said. There are benefits and drawbacks alike, and that is why you have found different views. The folks here at LOL went through our own salt talks not all that long ago and there is sure to be much information in the archive. Unfortunately I can not searh the archive without getting an error so I can not supply you with direct links. My two cents ; if the fish comes from waters (dispite where it may have been bred) that are acidic, soft, low total disolved solids and that is what you want to replicate
