Darios and plants

Hi, in the archive I found several messages that darios like to punch holes in the leaves of plants (especially swords) but don`t eat the peaces they cut out. Has somebody succeeded in stopping that behaviour by feeding more vegetable matter? I wonder if this is a sign of a need of veggies or if this is more a kind of play? Hans
