I need help identifying a Botia

Hi! I recently purchased a Botia modesta and another variety at an obscure pet shop not specializing in fish. They had a single specimen in a tank of cichlids and it was labeled a 'Raspberry Botia', but no one could tell me a scientific name or any particulars. The description is as follows- body type identical to the 'Bota modesta', about two inches in length with a deep body, dark pink color with no markings, and orange fins. This fish seems to be more aggressive, it chases the african cichlids of the same size in my 70 gallon tank. I have been feeding a combination of pelleted foods and frozen krill with success, the fish actually swims to the surface to eat the floating pellets. Please email with any info. you may have regarding this species!!!

Regards,

Juli
