I would have to agree Anne. I feel the same about the life cycle with relation to temperature. No scientific proof other then what I have read combined with some applied logic. The temperature speeds up the life cycle by increasing the feeding of the cyst and then the free swimming paracite created through miosis. Free swimming ich has a limited time to find a host ..or it dies. Ich enters the tank through water changes or any numer of other means so there is always a risk that fish under stress can become infected. My big questions focus around the dormancey of this paracite. If freeswimming ich dies without a host then how? why?
