Need Advice on a clown

HI! yesterday i purchased a 2 inch clown loach. I have a 10 gallon tank with 7 tetras, ( 3 serpae, 2 skirts, 2 red eyes and 1 silvertip ) I have great water quality, do bi weekly 20% water changes, ammonia and nitrates both at 0. The LFG said adding a clown loach would be okay, since 6 of the tetras are middle water dwellers and the slivertip is a top dweller. he said since clowns are bottom dwellers, there wouldnt be any over crowding. The one thing he didnt say was that clowns should be paired if possible, so i have to think about getting another one if by some awful chance one of my tetras should pass, but i cant do that now since for sure i would be overcrowded.

Over at jaws messgae board i am getting told by everyone that i have made a mistake in having a clown. They are telling me the clown will
