Sid's & the Company of Their Own Kind

For all you folks that have recently gotten Sid's (or have had them in the past), I'm wondering how important you think it is for them to be kept in a group. The reason I'm asking, we got a group of four awhile back which we very rarely see - they've got a nice cozy root cave staked out where they seem to stay, at least when we're around. But last weekend we picked up a fifth Sid (the last one left), and we didn't realize til we got him home he had ich. So he's been in the Q tank with nothing but a couple of guppies for company, and he looks miserable. Obviously, he's sick, which we're treating with salt and temp currently. But he's not very active and he just hangs out in the open, which worries me the most, instead of hidi
