I don't have any experience with this species,but if this fish is anything like all the other flat bellied fish I've kept,You're probably not going to see him too much until it's moved to a large furnished tank.It probably will come out at night to feed if it's scared.Even schooling fish seem to come out to feed when kept alone if everything else (cover) is okay.I think instead of the Cravex,small daily water changes and tastier food(frozen bloodworms or black mosquito larvae)would more likely elicit a feeding response.
