Hi James,

Your observations and insights were very helpful! It sounds like you have a beautiful tank of fish! I always like to read how others take care of their loaches. I was interested to learn that you recommend 50-60% water changes weekly. I usually change 25% weekly, and I thought that was pampering the fish!

Unfortunately, I am unable to identify your mystery loach. I have only a few loach pictures that are not online (due to copyright reasons, and time constraints.) There was no loach with vertical black bars.
