regarding the actual spots on the fish, I was always under the impression that these spots were where the parasite had attached itself to the fish's scales (or gills), and as it goes through it's lifecycle, it eventually falls off the fish and forms a cyst at the bottom of the tank, where it multiplies, breaks open and releases bunches of the little free-swimming villains. It was also my understanding that it is only at this free-swimming stage that it can be killed. Is this not the case? Unfortunately, the poor Sid was in this condition when we brought him home (pl
