Need "insect" ID

I'm trying to find the identity of a bug in the aquarium of a customer of my LFS. She has a freshwater community tank (I haven't seen it myself ... my LFS called me for help, because no one else has access to or has time to look stuff up) with many of these critters in the bottom, scurrying through and on top of the gravel. She said they don't appear to be bothering her fish. At first glance, they look almost like little pond snails from the top, about 1/16 to 1/10 of an inch in length, sort of pearly mottled gray/clear. More or less oval, egg-shaped. They appear to have 2 antennae, and maybe a bunch of legs, but I can't see them clearly. However, they move/swim very fast and I don't s
