I use the Magnum 350 canister filter with Bio-wheels on my 125. I like the bio-wheels because the main bacteria population is not disturbed by filter cleaning, and I chose a canister because I didn't want a hang-on filter adding to the tank's footprint. But filters all just move water through media, and each of the major manufacturers seems to have met this engineering challenge, so pick your filter based on how much set-up, customization and maintainance you want to do.
