When to add clowns?

So far the 135gal. is cycling fine and the dozen tiger barbs have even managed to gain appreciation from my leery boyfriend. I know it's a little soon to be introducing clowns yet, but I want to plan ahead to make sure I do it right. Right now we are concerned with the best method of adding them to the tank.

Due to the high incidence of ick, we thought it would be best to add the loaches next. Is this advisable, or should we maybe add one of the fish we currently have that is destined for this tank to further help establish it ie, the pictus cat or the royal pleco?

Finding 3"-5" or so clowns in our area is not difficult and we have several LFS that usually have them. Finding 6 or 7 from the same store is nearly impossible. Taking into consideration that our future clowns will be from at least two different stores and at least the first few (f
