Dojo's new home?

I'm moving my dojo out of the tropical fish tank and into a cold water tank of it's own, the way (s)he loves to dig i thought sand would be good, so i got sand but the only kind i could find was reptile sand. I cleaned it really well and put it in the tank with a potted plant and 2 rosy reds to cycle the tank(if they live thru it i figure they've earned the right to occupy the tank as opposed to being fed to big fish). The sand is Quartz. Is this ok? It's name is "MR. LOACH".

hey it's better then the gold barb named "garbage trucker" or the black skirt tetra named "Fat bastard"(cause he is)
